Thank you to everyone who completed our recent survey. We had a great response and this really does help us to ensure that all safety protocols we adopt within the salon are in line with what you, our clients would like to see.

As you’ll be aware, the government is proceeding with it’s planned relaxation of restrictions on the 19th July in England Only (with both Wales and Scotland continuing with mandatory mask wearing). This is despite the fact that Covid cases are rising fast and over 1200 scientists, including SAGE, have warned the government that its decision is ‘unethical’.

Collections Hair Club has endured the hardest 16 months in its history and the safety of our guests and team is paramount. Sadly, we are already suffering the impact of the rising cases in our area, with some clients unable to attend appointments due to isolating as well as members of our own team having to be away from the salon for extended periods as a result of coming into contact with positive cases. As a small business, this is hitting us very hard and we have ZERO government help.
 
With all of the above in mind, we feel that it would be wrong of us to remove many of the protocols we have in place to keep everyone safe. We also feel that at this current stage, it would be unfair to have different protocols based on vaccination status.

These are not decisions we have taken lightly. We do feel that it is important that we share with you how and why we have come to them. We also understand and respect that you have the freedom to choose what salon you visit and we thank those of you that will continue to support Collections Hair Club.

It’s been a long time coming, but Boris has finally confirmed we will be re-opening our doors on April 12th.

Stand by your phones, we have already begun contacting everyone who had an appointment scheduled between 20th December and 11th April. Once everyone who had an appointment has been offered a new one, we will be contacting everyone on our waiting list in strict order. We kindly ask that you please bear with us and unless have received a voicemail from us, please do not call the salon as we have over 2000 calls to make. After today's announcement that we will not re-open until the 12th April at the earliest, we are disappointed that we will remain closed for a further 7 weeks . A recent SAGE report revealed that the hairdressing industry contributed to less than 0.05 of the 'R' number.

As a business, we have invested thousands in measures to provide a Covid Secure environment to keep our guests and team safe and since re-opening in July, we have had ZERO cases within the salon.

We know how keen you will be to book your next appointment and just wanted to outline the next steps we will be taking:

𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀

1.) Now that we have a date, we will be working with our team to determine a temporary salon rota. This will allow us to accommodate as many guests as possible, whilst adhering to our strict safety measures. As we previously did in July and December, we will not have any set opening hours during our initial return and will do our best to accommodate everyone as soon as we can. Please note that this may mean that your regular stylist may be working different days than previously.

2.) At this time we will not yet be booking any appointments. The government has advised that it will not provide confirmation on our reopening until 7 days before and with this in mind, we will not begin the process of booking appointments until the beginning of April.

3.) Once we are booking appointments, we will firstly be contacting everybody who had an appointment scheduled between 20th December and 11th April, in strict date order.

4.) Once everyone who has missed a scheduled appointment due to the lockdown has been contacted, we will be contacting everybody on our waiting list, in the order the request was received.

5.) If you had an appointment scheduled between 20th December and 11th April or have already requested to be added to our waiting list, there is no need for you to contact us and we will be in touch. If you haven't and would like to be added to our waiting list, click the link in our bio.

We cannot wait to see you all again and really do hope this is the last time we have to endure this process.

With the disappointing news from the Prime Minister earlier this week that we will not be able to reopen until at least March we wanted to reach out and let you know that we are still here. It’s been so lovely to speak to so many of our clients during January and our delivery service is still available for all of your hair care needs. As soon as we know when we will be allowed to re-open, we will contact all clients who had an appointment scheduled during this period of closure. We will be working through this in strict appointment order and there is no need for you to contact us. 2020... you’ve certainly kept us on our toes.

As we go into 2021, we sadly may not have a date for when we will be allowed to re-open, but this isn’t a doom and gloom post.

2020 has taught us so much and the Collections Team has overcome every obstacle thrown our way. We could not be more grateful for going into a new year with such an amazing bunch!

And for you, our guests, your ongoing patience, support and understanding has meant so much to us. You’ve helped keep our spirits high and quite frankly brought us to tears on many occasions. We would not still be here without you.

As we continue navigate through some challenging times ahead, we cannot wait to share with you what we have in store in 2021.
